40 METERS DEEP (2023)

A very experimental piece of I wrote in the Fall of 2023 for the SFCM Mouthscape Chorus. It traces a journey in a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit Train) under the bay from San Francisco To Oakland and uses audio from a 1960s documentary about the system's construction.

Lost In Limerence (2022)

"Lost in Limerence" is a piece for string orchestra that floated around in my notes for several years before finally becoming what it is today. It is deeply indebted to Barber's Adagio for Strings and Allegri's Miserere mei, Deus for textures, harmony, and melodic figuration, included direct quotations from both. The piece expresses losing oneself within an unrequited, unattainable love.
